It is a joyous moment to announce the release of the third issue of the Wadia Journal of Women and Child Health (WJWCH). We recognize the importance of ensuring that our journal represents the work and research that is conducted in the Wadia group of hospitals, and at the same time also highlights key issues in maternal and child healthcare that are critical to patients all over the world.

The arrival of the New Year promised many exciting developments for healthcare in the field of women and child health. The first liver transplant in Wadia hospital marked an important milestone for pediatric solid organ transplant in Maharashtra. We hope to contribute more as the number of pediatric transplants continue to witness a rise across the country.

It is gratifying to see the insightfulness of reviews performed for the Journal which has substantially improved the quality of our published articles. I thank all our submitting authors who have toiled in the production of their work and have made WJWCH their journal of choice.

WJWCH is another stepping stone in our endeavour to achieve quality patient care, keeping in mind patient safety through established standards of customer friendly processes and employee empowerment. We would like to thank all the stakeholders of Wadia Hospitals and most importantly our patients, who are our greatest teachers. I wish for greater successes with this third issue.

Best regards Dr. Minnie Bodhanwala,

Chief Executive Officer
